What we do
SCHOOL SUPPLY AND BOOK DRIVES
Students in Africa are still writing on slates (portable blackboard and chalk), and others cannot afford notebooks, pencils and much needed supplies for school. The cost of these supplies are so high that some families cannot afford them after they have paid school fees. We want to be able to collect school supplies and books and give out to local schools and families, so that parents do not have to worry about paying for them. We want provide children with storybooks that they can read when away from school to develop and enhance their minds.
PROVIDING BOOKS, TEXTBOOKS AND BUILDING LIBRARIES.
The power of knowledge is often derived from reading. Being able to read is a skill that eludes many Africans, and we believe that we must improve the ability of young Africans to be able to read and understand what is going on in the world so that they can be informed in making decisions. To do this, we want to supply books, textbooks and eventually build libraries in schools and throughout local communities to foster learning.
REBUILDING AND schools
One of most important projects is taking classrooms and schools that are not adequate for housing students and providing a good learning environment, and turning them into modern classrooms equipped with resources that make learning hands on and interactive for students.
